And then continued knitting the shoulder stitches (probably one side at a time) with short rows (wrapping and then turning) in order to get the gradual decrease. If you look closely at the picture it looks like I wrapped and turned after about 10-12 stitches - probably the number of stitches in the pattern repeat.
